| Video captured by a Clie NX70V / NR70V Hi, I'm new to this forum, I've just ordered myself a NX70V.
I wanted to know if anyone has any links to avi's or mpeg's of video footage captured using a Clie NX70V / NR70V. I've seen clips that the units are able to play, but I really want to see what it can capture.
I'm so new to all this PDA thing that I don't even know if you're able to show a Clie video capture on a PC.
Thanks,
Unkey. |

Don't understand.
You can catch video's with 160x120 res. This is not immens but is absolutely okay for viewing on the Clie. Only QuickTime is currently abel to playback the movies a Clie captured. You can view movies(QT or mpeg) with up to 15fps in a rsolution of max 320x240.
This is enough to have a really good time at a train or so..

| Thanks for the reply nx70, sorry if I didn't make myself clear. I don't have my Clie yet, I'm waiting for it to be sent to me (probably a couple of days). It's going to be my first PDA, so I'm a bit hyped about it. Anyway, I just wanted to see clips that other people had captured. Just to see some examples.
I'm really looking forward to messing about with the lo res video features. I plan to make some funkey little video's, mixing motion tracking and 3ds max animations with the video grabs.
if I manage to do anything good I'll try and post them up here! |

| Okay, I see. Well. I only have a slow analog connection, so I am not your man. Actually the size is really small and the files are acceptable. If you like I send you via email a short movie just to show you..

| There's a great app for NR70 that I've been using, and they have sample clips you can watch on their website... http://www.clievideo.com/
I've not heard if they will modify the software for the NX though. |

| Thanks everybody! Just what I wanted, very nice examples.
OcellNuri, Fire.mov is a lot larger screen size than dog.mov but still seems good quality, how did you resize it?
to_stargaze, Thanks for the link, I thought that the Clie could only capture at 160x120 res. If it allows me to capture at higher, I think I'm going to have to buy that software! Do you think there might be a problem running it on a NX?

| As far as I know it is not ment for the NX. That's a shame. It is because of the Processor power I think, but on the otherhand: the NR has only 66MHz. Am I mixing something up??

| I've sent them an email asking them to extend support for the NX cam. Who knows if it'll have a response?

| I used QuicktimePro to resize the video. It scales up great.
I doubt we will see third party video software for the NX any time soon. Sony is not releasing the APIs for the camera. |

How do you watch movies with Quicktime? I've got Vivid (from clievideo.com), and QT won't recognize the format... |
