- not taking any of these morning coffees.
- selling one of these useless treos...
- stop smoking, if applicable
- stop taking your car and start biking

It is, perfect for viewing images and listening to music ;_; I'm sure it won't take me long to use its full potential lol like to always trick out the pda's quick as i can.

As for where I'm from, I'm from good ol New Mexico >.<....not really that good though lol

Note, maybe you would not like it ... it's thick heavy, not so good for video, no Bluetooth ... Wifi doesn't accept WPA protection ... HHE is slow on non optimized softwares ... But battery life is wonderfull (About 30h music with the built-in player, more than 10 hours video at minimum light). Screen is to die for (viewing angle is perfect, no limit, colors as vivid as on a plasma screen), the sound is very very good, a lot better thant on iPods ... Clié Organizer is a must have ... Maybe you could get a part time job or kill some old lady to get her money ?

Semi Registered User Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 24	Before anyone start arguing about this post of mine, please note that all I am saying are just my personal thoughts about VZ90, I know everyone have their own point of view, and I respect that, so I hope everyone would respect my own point of view too, please don't start a flame war here, because it's not what I intend to do, thank you After receiving my VZ90, I am very disappointed about the CPU, if they give it a 480x320 screen they should at the very least give a CPU that can run 480x320 video smoothly (I know there's Media Launcher or FMP, but even these can't run 480x320 videos that smoothly when it comes to a certain videos that have fast moving shots), so I am forced to scale down to 384x256 with fps at 17.6823 if I want to be able to play those videos without those "lag". SONY said VZ90 is suppose to be a Multimedia Device rather than a typical PDA, personally for me, I'd think a Multimedia Device should come with better CPU, least 200Mhz~250Mhz least. I know I could use 360x240 but it's just not acceptable because of the color difference when using TCPMP, even with dither color turned on the color difference is still very visible and annoying, while 384x256 makes it look a bit sharper and with the color difference less "annoying", using 17.6823 fps to make VZ90 being able to play video with fast moving shots with dither color turned on while the the screen movements are still acceptable ang not that "laggy" (once fps goes lower than 16, the lag is rather noticeable and unacceptable for me). I am, however, very happy with the OLED screen, it's just too wonderful compare to NX80V screen, it managed to play NES games smoothly without any lag with LJP, while SNES is totally out of the question, GB games is lagging (but playable for something like Pokemon Yellow, RPG games) which is funny because I thought it doesn't require too much CPU power. In case any of you guys are interested, here's my settings for PocketDivXEncoder 0.3.96 (Note that this version can't seem to encode DVD subtitles for some reason, I use 0.3.60 for DVD video if I want subtitles) ============= Video Quality: 13 Audio Quality: 1 22050Hz 24Kbps Mono Brightness: 0% Saturation: 0% Sound: 0% Output dimensions: 384x256 Advanced Options: Use 2-Pass Encoding B-Frames FPS: 17.6823 IVTC XviD I get good results with these settings, especially for videos with fast moving shots (mostly anime), note some anime with "really" fast shots it still lag, some I don't care because lag is unnoticeable or acceptable, some are too bag then I reduce more quality. I'd appreciate if someone has better ways of playing video files with resolution bigger and fast moving shots and still able to play rather "unnoticeable" smoothly. Overall, I still love VZ90 for the OLED screen, it's just perfect, I also love the battery life and the built in wifi, hate the weak CPU though, to think that with GE2D support, at 250Mhz~300Mhz it should be able to match 400Mhz Intel PXA CPU performence for video playback, in any case, I love it, and I'll continue to use both NX80V and VZ90 depending on my mood :P Last edited by Semi : 06-08-2007 at 04:14 AM.

VZ90 is not so good for videos. Especially when you watch movies with subtitles, you need the 480x320 resolution !
