| 4 gig compact flash cards!!! will they work or is the driver only up to 1 gb???? I have seen the new 4 gig cf cards that sandisk is releasing i was wondering if anyone has any clue if the drivers will support more than 1 gb? If not will it? The price tag for the 4 gig card is $999 thats $250 a gig! not too shabby compared to only getting maybe 2 gb (seperate sticks i might add) of ms pro for the same price! |

| price is still too high.....
compare that price (per Gb) with a CF Card and you will see how expensive at the moment that card is.

| oh ok, to answer your question (sort of)
eruware has a list of compatible cf cards that will work with the driver. at the moment that particular card is not on the list. they tested a range of cards to see which ones are ok.
doesnt mean that this one isnt. probably too new (and too expensive) for anyone to test it with the driver. give it time.
i hope this type ive given you a better answer. to get a definite answer contact eruware and ask them.

| I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that FAT can address that much. Doesn't it have a 2GB limit? Since you can't use FAT32 with the driver, you may find that there is a limitation to size.

| I think the Sandisk4G CF you're talking about is cool, but too expensive even if it would work (I would worry about battery though). & I thought 1G would be too much for me already, I'm waiting for mine to come in from amazon for only $179.99 free shipping no need for rebate either.

| FAT is capable of addressing up to 4GB. The 2GB limit was because of DOS.

| No problem. A lot of people don't know that little bit of trivia. I probably wouldn't know it if I hadn't gotten my MCSE.
