Just started to use Bible Reader by Asaisoft http://www.asaisoft.com

I have all the text on my Computer of a Bible version that is not available for this reader, does anybody know how you make the text compatiable with these readers.

I had a quick look at their site, and there isn't any info on converters, file formats, etc. What format is the Bible version on your computer? If it's text or HTML, there are a number of possible readers/translators to choose from.

PalmReader allows you to convert files to PalmReader format might try there.

I haven't seen any Bible softwrae with a conversion utility.

Generally the different Bible Software company's code Bibles for themselves that can only be viewed with their Bible reader. . .Right now i'm using Bible reader by Olive Tree along with the Modern King James, because i can't afford $40 for a palm Bible and this set-up was free. Someday i'd like to use a full screen Bible reader w/ the NIV... oh well, someday... : )

Enjoy.

Palm Reader Pro

I paid $9.95 for the upgrade of Palm Reader and then paid $11.00 for the NIV version of the Palm Reader.

I have nothing but KUDOS for the program. They updated at no cost to fit the resolution and screen size of the NX. Fonts are nice, epsecially if you get Lubuks new fonts for the NX.

Palm Reader Pro allows you to highlight, bookmark, change the font size, bold, etc...

Hope this helps you in your decision. I'm bias to my Palm Reader Pro and NIV.

Dan

There was a converter program for Bible Reader when Poetry Poon was the developer. They no longer have forums, but if you search Google...you might find something!

Two words, Bible Thumper. No other Palm Bible software can match it, if you are serious about studying.

Bible Thumper may be a decent program, but no one who studies seriously can just use KJ version alone. The advantage of Bible Reader from Olive Tree (especially if they release a full version OS 5 system) is that one can study many different translations, or use the original languages. That's real study!

Now you've kicked over a bucket of worms!

I agree!

An AsaiSoft developer emailed me to say they are considering a better book/verse navigation method (slide bar is currently used). If they develop something like OliveTree's drop down book/chapter/verse navigation then they will be the clear "Bible Killer App." Now there's a phrase that will raise some eyebrows!

I'd rather not use KJV if possible. I'm at Bible college, and the school standard is NIV. I don't want to go into whether it's an accurate translation or not, i just want the NIV *WITH* Bible Reader (not available by olive tree right now) ALONG WITH full screen support! Some day my prince will come...

Enjoy.
