| Pass Through Video from Camera to LCD? Hello,
I need to do a presentation that will involve some very careful electrostatics experiments (for a physics class) and I want to show the results through an LCD projector on the screen.
I have a digital video camera with firewire, a laptop with firewire and the school has LCD projectors. So, my question is, "What software is necessary to pass the video from the firewire to the screen." I have pinnacle studio on my desktop, but I do not need to record, just display live.
Thanks for your ideas in advance!

| Wow, judging from the number of people who have viewed this and my own research, this is not as easy as I thought.
A webcam app won't work, because I need to show it full screen 'live' not recorded and not every x number of seconds.
I will keep looking and checking here, so if someone has an idea or two, please pass it along!

| any video editing app can "capture" and before that it can "preview"
put it in preview mode, and then it will show it live.

True, but in order to view it larger on an lcd projected screen something different must occur. Otherwise, the students in the class are looking at a box on the screen that is still very hard to see.

| Doesnt your video camera have AV out. You could then send the live signal directly to the projector's RCA in.

| My camera has a USB out and a Firewire out, Oh, and an S-Video out! I can check that! I am not sure if the school's projector has an S-Video port, but that just might work!
Thank you for thinking of the simple and obvious for me!
