Open health records is a tall order to perform for a treo. Maybe if they relegated it to a memory card that has a doctor key to unlock?

Palm is hoping for this company to do the necessary work, will it become like an alert bracelet allowing doctors to have a patient's history at their fingertips? What safeguards are there to prevent unauthorized viewing/or patient tampering.

It seems to me though that all healthcare groups should have a standardized method of keeping records but having patients carrying around their health records? Not a good or practical idea.

Since this is a web based application for use on a Treo I'm confident that security and privacy concerns as regards to HIPAA have been addressed. Whether medical providers will wish to use yet another system remains to be seen. As a patient I would be interested in seeing what this system has to offer because what my HMO offers is a pain to navigate.
