Alex,

thank you for this nice app. Actually I've looked into the 0.7(?) source and wonder what's the best way to detect taps in the icon area?

Have a look at resident.c in the partial myKbd source release at http://www.sf.net/projects/handypalmstuff

Specifically, look at how the home button is handled.

I uploaded four battery skins to use with ShowBattery. One is a modification of Church Punk's Mac graphics. For the others I started with the graphics in the application itself and redid the colors. For the latter, besides what you see in the attached image, the lightning bolt for charging is yellow. Three of the skins use blue tones that I intend to complement Velo's Grayhide skin. The fourth is red and is intended to complement Blackhide.

I've uploaded only BatterySkin.prc files, which will need to be merged into whatever DIA skin you are using.

Hope some of you enjoy them.

I think the energy should be checkered. Otherwise the icon is too bright.
I tested it, but it looked not good checkered. So I tested several other modifications for the T3 statbar, mainly with thinner batteries. There are also two versions with more decent light blue energy. I personally prefer #2.

There are now four versions of my ShowBattery skins in the Freeware section, here. I edited my earlier post in this thread to show what they look like.

Ok, it's just pen down event and checking the coords. I thought it might give some special call-back which is called when the user taps the button area.

Found a bug that can cause a crash with statusbar hidden.

Funny... I hide the statusbar all the time and haven't experienced it... yet.

Uploaded 1.01 which should fix that problem--if it is a real problem. (I had a reset in palmpdf that I thought might be caused by this.) It also has a new white icon, one of the T3/T5 and one for the TX/LD.

I'm not sure why, but I've really enjoyed following the development of this application. Perhaps it's that the small things are really important in affecting the experience. But I've also learned a lot about how my Palm works from the progress. Anyway, thanks for letting us in early!

Here's one for you:
I charge my TX with the charging cable at home, and with the USB cable at work. When at home, the charging icon comes on. However, ever since I installed this, it doesn't come on when plugged into USB only. However, the battery level moves on up still as the device charges. The charging battery doesn't come on in the launcher, either.

The charging icon appears for me with the external charger or the USB-only cable. There is a delay with the USB-only cable.
