| Can't Send anything: Send Dialog won't appear Hello folks,
Today I was trying to exchange data with another Palm with Bluetooth, and then I discovered that clicking on the "Send" button, nothing happens: no dialog appears, no options. ANd this symptom in any application that has the Send option.
In FileZ, clicking on Send results in an error: "An error occured and the item could not be sent". Before any option is even selected.
And in UniCMD, the error message is a bit more clearer: "Error 1506 EXG: TargetNotFnd (CmdMain.cpp line 4781) Seems something wrong."
And in the general Palm apps (Contacts, Applications...), the Send button does nothing.
In all cases, the Send dialog (with the options, IR, BT, etc) doesn't even appear.
I hadn't noticed that, since I seldom use it, and since the last time I used it I installed a few applications, such as:
- Maxx (for use with Picsel Browser)
- Picsel Browser
- Code Diver
- McFile
- UniCMD
- WarpSpeed
- TCPMP
I can't figure out where the problem started, or if it is related to a certain application. I thought it had to do with McFile, and removed it, but it made no difference.
The error message that UniCMD issued lead me to think that a certain file is missing. I checked three NVBackups I have on my card, one from last July, and could not find any file (currently missing in the Palm) that sounds like it has something to do with the problem, nothing like "Exchange" or "Send" or anything like that.
It seems to do with the Palm's Exchange Manager: it's not working. But I can't figure out why.
And I couldn't find any setup in the Palm for this. Is there such option?
I did have some reset issues (loop reset etc) when getting Picsel Browser, Maxx and Code Diver to work. COuld this be related?
Has anyone had a similar problem and can help me?

| If you have WiFile on the TX you need to make sure it is in the Uncache list, it loads a item into the send menu on reset and if it doesn't get loaded it mucks up the whole process.

| Uncache? Hmmm.... I found Off Flush, by Alex Pruss ( click here for topic), available in the Freeware section...
...but specifically for the Exchange Manager and to clean the Preferences, I found Reset Doctor (çreviously known as Pref Doctor, where the Exchange Manager problem is mentioned)...
And... YES, one hour searching and here it is! CleanPrefs, in the Uncache topic.
Thanks again, Dmitry.
Uncache sounds good. I'll look in to it later on after I get some sleep. (Hopefully it will allow Picsel Browser open those PDFs which make it complain of not enough RAM...)
