| .pxl file reader? I'm looking for a Palm OS program that can read Pocket Excel files that are in the .pxl format. Or of a way to convert or rename it to make it readable with a Palm program. Doc To Go V9 does not read that format.
TIA |

| no app in existence reads it. (pocket excel is not deserving of being called an app) I'd recommend using a real format to save files if you want to ever read them(rtf?)

TIA | Greyrider,
Open Office 2.0's spreadsheet component will open and save to the pxl (pocket excel) file format. It works (OO doesn't guarantee that it will read the spreadsheet layout properly if the formatting is complex) for me on my Linux Box running Ubuntu 6 and my iMac running X. Provided you don't already have Open Office, you can find it at http://www.openoffice.org or in your repo if you run Linux. If you run Max OS X you will also need X11 for it, which if you run 10.4 is found on the install DVD while the 10.3 version is found for download online.
From there, saving them into xls format will allow DTG 9 to read them.

Too funny.... It's not my app, it's a format that is used at work. It just makes my life a wee bit easier to be able to read .pxl files. Quote: | Originally Posted by bh77a Greyrider,

Thanks, I can get the file transferred on the fly to my SD card on the road. I was looking for a Palm App that would do it, instead of needing a PC. I will look into the program anyway.
Thanks
