I'm sorry to bring this up yet again for you vets - I have read through all the old threads first, checked to make sure I have the system_ADPCM file installed, etc.
I have geeksounds on my T615 and they play wonderfully well but on my TJ37 they are totally "electronic" junk. What am I doing wrong? Because I haven't been able to figure this out I am still using my T615 for my alarms - very inconvenient considering that the TJ37 is the newer model, etc.
(excuse me for my bad english) But I think you're seeing it wrong.
There are 2 sorts of alarm;
1.system MIDI (SMF) sounds, the polyphonic sounds
2.system ADPCM (PCM) sounds, the "beautifull" sounds
Wav files need to be converted first (with ClickClick Alarm or Sound Utility 2).
Then they can be played as a alarm.
But as you allready may have noticed, the TJ doesn't have a alarmmaster like SoundUtility on the T615. So you cannot remove just one bad sound.
And the SoundUtility on the T615 doesn't work with the TJ, so you need to to find one who does (like Alarmmaster or the soundutility on the UX or TH).
Did this help you?
Miek - THANK YOU for pointing me in the right direction and clearing up what is what. I really appreciate this - more than you know. I really need good alarms and this will help me very much.
