Excuse me but what does it make a PC a PC now??? I mean, the new apple macbooks are intel based. true they're EFI not Bios based but most OS are or will move to EFI, and bootcamp lets you use many OSes today anyhow. The macbooks should run OS X, Windows and Linux without trouble, possible some BSD flavors too. So, what do you mean with "He wants a PC" ?? you mean he wants a PC not made by apple? Because by all standards the new line can be called a "PC" such as well.

For starters, the mac only has one mouse clicker (important for me) and it does not have native drivers for many hardware peripherals. There is actually a HUGE difference between a Mac running Windows/Linux and a real PC.

The Asus EeePC is available in pearl white, in all models. I have a white 900 Linux. I'm not enamored of white, but it was cheaper than the black version, and I'm all for cheap. $329 shipped from Amazon.

Talking

In addition to the Asus EEE PC, Acer has the Aspire One in white (and other colors)and in diffrent OS flavors, personally I own the blue one on Win XP and absolutely love it. I know a bit smaller than the mac but the acer 1 is a lot easier to carry arround.
