| SD to CF1 adapter I have a Palm Tx and a Canon PowerShot A70 digital camera. I would like to make pictures using the Canon, and them view/edit/send them on my Tx.
Unfortunately the Canon takes Compact Flash type 1 cards. However, I have seen there are adapters that have the shape of a CF card, and you can slide an SD card into them to use in CF devices.
I have looked all over the internet but can't find them for sale anywhere anymore. I've found out in some other forum that the Canon doesn't work with CF2 adapters which seem to be the only one for sale at the moment...
Does anyone else here use this setup with his/her Palm? Does anybody know where to get a SD to CF1 adapter?
Guess the only other option is to buy a new camera with SD slot, but the old one works fine, so I'd like to save my money if possible...
Thanks!
Robbert

| This isn't exactly as convenient as just moving your card, but a multiformat card reader would let you quickly move the photos from your CF card to your SD, which you just pop into your TX. Cheap too. Lots cheaper than a new camera!

| Yes, I can do this on my PC already, but I want to be able to look at the pictures on a bigger screen or email/upload pictures when I'm on the road and don't have a PC at hand.
Thanks for the reply!

| That looks good! It's a bit pricy, and I need only half of it, but it's still lots cheaper than a camera, and if it works with your Canon mine should be fine as well.
Thanks for the tip!

| I bought my SD/CF-II adaptor from Mittoni, they also sell a SD/CF-I adaptor, though curently out of stock. The reason I bought the CF-II adaptor is that the SD card fits completely within the CF, while the with the CF-I adaptor, the SD card sticks out.
Have a look at http://www.mittoni.com.au/secure-di...92e020ca9544a93 to see what I mean.

| Brando's adapter is CF1 and the SD card fits completely inside the CF adapter.
Really, this is the best one I could find with CF1 format! And I looked very hard! ;-)

| Thanks for the info!
The type where the SD card sticks out doesn't allow me to close the lid on my camera and would make it a bit prone to damage. The price doesn't seem to be that much lower than the Brando one.
It would be nice if Brando had a version without the PC-card adapter, but it's the only solution I've found so far (and I have looked hard as well!) so I'll probably go for that.
