n0m0n Opinions = Clue's Join Date: Oct 2002 Location: Eastern, PA Posts: 1,433	Radio On...maybe?!?#? I have been forced to soft reset lately more and more due to a lot of apps. Anyway what I noticed is that when my TREO 650 cycles on it "sometimes" turns on the radio or phone and sometimes it does not. 2 question: Why or what decides if it is going to turn on or not. And what can I do to get it to turn on all the time. I assume there is a option within the OS that I need to set. Maybe there isn't but its strange to me that this has a mind of its own to do as it wishes, when it wishes. Thanks __________________ Jeff W

I'm not sure what you mean by "cycle on". Pressing and holding the red phone button will turn the device's radio (the phone part of the device) on or off (completely enabling or disabling the phone). Depending on whether its on or off, you'll hear ascending or descending tones while doing this. Do you have a Cingular 650? If so, maybe this Palm Knowledge Library article relates to your issue: Cingular Wireless Treo 650 SIM tray causes radio to turn off unexpectedly. You also mention that you need to reset more often due to third-party software. Perhaps a third-party app is related to your on/off situation. Yes if I do a soft reset sometimes the TREO will automatically turn the radio on and sometimes it wont.
There should be a way for me to set it to either turn on everytime, or off.

Already hard reset thinking maybe its a a 3rd party app.
6 out of 10 times it turned on after a soft reset.

This should be consistency either way.
