| No, really headache for moving datas. Now I am trying to find proper program to replace what i use like "Freenote" "DateBk" "ZLauncher" "MP3ringtone" "Password Management". Hacks for "Dict" "SoftReset" "Calulator" "Add new event by minute like 12:04 to 15:42". And want to know what can the hold button work besides long press to launch a program. Thanks ~

| - Datebk ? The standard calendar application ? That has been replaced by Calendar. However I use Datebk6, latest version works on my device.
- Zlauncher works but you need at least version 5.42, there is a beta 5.43b1 which resolves the issue with Home button Most Recently Used List
- Softreset I do not use. I used mReset on my T3. Why do you need this ?
- Calculator - I use SnapCalc (requires DA launcher)
- adding event by minute is something DB6 can do without any problem
- Which button you are referring to to hold ? Home button ? Can not be reprogrammed except when using a 3th party program like Butler or so ...
- MP3Ringtone -> there is a freeware ringtone manager which allows to use MP3's. Not sure about the name anymore ...

| Realluy thanks for your advise~ Quote: | Originally Posted by holvoetn - Datebk ? The standard calendar application ? That has been replaced by Calendar. However I use Datebk6, latest version works on my device.
+actually i don't want to use Datebk6 now, but want to add the funtion for making event by minute
- Zlauncher works but you need at least version 5.42, there is a beta 5.43b1 which resolves the issue with Home button Most Recently Used List
+Will try it out
- Softreset I do not use. I used mReset on my T3. Why do you need this ?
+Since Treo don't have the reset hold so everytime we need to take out the battery to reset, i think i will try mReset
- Calculator - I use SnapCalc (requires DA launcher)
+but i don't know how to call out DA since Treo680 can't call out shortcut but stylus
- adding event by minute is something DB6 can do without any problem
- Which button you are referring to to hold ? Home button ? Can not be reprogrammed except when using a 3th party program like Butler or so ...
+the hold button is located below the ringer up/down buttons, i can change to launch a program by long press but don't know what else it can do
- MP3Ringtone -> there is a freeware ringtone manager which allows to use MP3's. Not sure about the name anymore ...
+ok i will try to find |

| Welcome to the former TH55 - now Treo club. First rule is: forget the stability of the TH55 . . . you'll see more resets with the Treo. After all, it's a phone (radio) + Palm OS device.
I use ZLauncher and in QuickLaunch set the side button to launch QL, really works great. Then just add all your most frequent things you do to QL.
I would migrate away from hacks . . . they are problematic with Palm's NVFS. You can now get FontSmoother in non-hack version.
Agendus Pro does a lot of Over-The-Air (OTA) stuff that is really cool and handy with a smartphone. DateBk is an excellent PIM app, but if you want PIM + OTA, give Agendus Pro 11.1 a trial (30 day free trial). Warning though, if your PIM databases are "dirty" (with DateBk and other PIM app tags), you might find Agendus very unstable . . . it needs pretty clean databases. Check iambic's forums for many good procedures to clean the different PIM databases.

| Datebk6 has an own procedure to clean those tags COMPLETELY. Does Agendus also clean up so nicely ?
BTW those tags are simply stored in the Notes section, normal text if you want. In case Agendus has a 'problem' with it, there is something wrong in AG

| I'm not sure how well the other product cleans-up, but Agendus doesn't have a magic button to wipe it's stuff out all at once.

| Thanks for all the suggetions!
Just heard that a patch is now avalible to stop the camera drawing battery, really excited about it~
Actually my Treo680 resets after installing hacks into SD, (sometimes even I install other old application also make it reset). I have to try 1 by 1 to see what can use what can't.
Will try new version of ZLauncher for the QL function~~
Actually I don't want to use DateBK anymore, just want to use original calendar. Also I want to know how to go into the "Detail" of an event by using keyboard olny?
Still finding the method to use MP3 as ringtine......

| The software to use MP3s as ringtones is called MiniTones... you will find it on this page at MyTreo.net.
I've been using it on my Treo 680 with no problems at all !

I use the Phone Technician, which has MP3 ringtones as part of its suite of functions. www.hobbyistsoftware.com
