| I found a post that talked about it, and the word is that they won't be active for a month or two. The internet option should be up in a few weeks though.
I entered my e-mail address, but nothing happened. I'll need to tinker with it some more to understand it.
I think the Wii parade has to do with connecting to another Wii via the Wiiconnect?

| Awesome, I just got the e-mails. I registered two addresses trying to make it work.
You have to set your Mii's to mingle and also have a friend's Wii's number from what I can gather.

| I was just thinking. How can our Wii fight off spam? Is adding a friend in the Address Book enough assurance that we won't be getting spam?
Anyone wants to be added in my Wii Address Book? Just PM me and give me your preferred email. |

| Spam... Haha.
I am pretty sure Nintendo [Since they will see all the mail that goes in / out] will be able to stop mass mailings pretty quickly.
At least I hope they would have the foresight to do this...
I bought Virtual Console stuff last night, it was cool, and quite painless.
Gonna go out and see TV prices.
Hey, what IS EDTV? [Is that that Texas Instruments designed chip thing?] Difference between HDTV?

| HDTV = 720 scan lines shown at the same time
EDTV = 480 scan lines shown at the same time
standard tv = 480 lines shown alternately
Did I oversimplify it? |

| Nope.
A Wii's max resolution = 852x480
Widescreen EDTV = 852x480
The above is why I want one. A HDTV has to interpolate the image, which could lead to stretched and fuzzy gaphics. So a 1:1 image would be best. But not at the price. I can get a higher rez HDTV for less and EDTV is on its way out.
I've needed a new montitor for my PC, because my 15" isn't cutting it for testing sites on its browsers, so I'm thinking about getting a widescreen monitors with component inputs. Gateway sells some inexpensive ones, but I'm not sure about quality. I really wish I could use my 30". The adapter I was looking at doesn't support component inputs, so I would need to spend extra to get a component to coaxial adapter and then there's the latency issue.
Blah. Wii spam would suck!!!

| My friend said we should turn of Wiiconnect until Nintendo gets any bug worked out. I haven't had an issue, but I didn't update until late Sunday night, so maybe it was because their servers were overloaded or something.

| Just discovered something... if you insert an SD Card with pictures and MP3 files, you can use those MP3 files as background music for the slideshow! |

| I was going to try out the picture thing, just haven't got around to pulling the card out of my digicam.
If you're on a 4:3 screen, make sure the Wii is set to 4:3. I set minie to 16:9 when I first got it thinking it would do anamorphic 16:9 like a DVD and left it there not realizing it was stretching all images vertically.

| This new Zelda is absolutely amazing. I played it far enough to get the sword and shied last night, and I must say that it's absolutely the best Zelda to date, and easily one of the best games I've ever played.

| I'm still starting out. I just got the wooden sword. lol. The amazing thing is, I couldn't figure out how to draw the sword... just when I was about to give up and read the manual, I decided to *pull* the sword from my back via the Wiimote! I was like... whoa! |

| Sorry, I though it was a given you would be getting those items.
I didn't reveal any important details. Well, I hope you've played to that point now. This game is unparalleled IMO. I can't wait to play it in widescreen. If I have to, I'll start from the begining just to experience it.
I really can't understand why Nintendo has not released the component cables here in the US. They're waiting until December 5th. If it means that they'll meat all demand, than it will be worth it.

| This guy made his own; http://nfggames.com/forum/index.php...pic=2363&st=0&#
The only reason I want it is for WIDESCREEEEEEEN ZELDA. Oh, I already mentioned that a few dozen times.
I can wait for the cables, since I won't be getting a HD TV for my office until about that time. I'm getting this cheap bastard; http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...d=1130986316511
Wooo, HDTV.... *yawn* I'm a high resolution snob!!!
And NOPE on the PS3, I don't want to another "boring" console.
Anyway, I brought the Wii to my relatives yesterday. Everyone including my uncle, whom is in his seventies played it. My little cousins didn't want me to leave. Nintendo definitely got it right and has a hit on their hands.
