hackers, programmers, etc are welcome!

hey all,
just got a Samsung D807 cell, and I must say that I do like it.

However, there have been voices (mine included) noticing a few flaws with this phone.

Now, I don't know exactly if cells have the same flexibility as say palms, but could any of the master programmers here possibly make "hacks" for this/other phones?

I know many d807 users have issues with low call volume when not on speakerphone, and the issue that the screen remains on when the phone is off and the battery is charging.

Also, when playing audio and video, there is no way to "fast forward" or anything of that sort.

I guess what I'm asking is if its possible for some of these hacks to be made and implemented. I know that most cell phones use some form of Java (at least for the games). So could anyone help me out?

I just got one of these too, and I think I am just going to whine to Samsung. The screen backlight thing is unforgivable, and its not a difficult update I would imagine. Just a severe lack of foresight.
