Hi bowwow!!

Blazer and VersaMail that is a built-in application of Treo are connected
via telephone disregarding the network setting when starting.

I made the patch so that the connection destination of Blazer and
VersaMail might become it according to the network setting.

This patch works well by Treo650 and Treo700p.

I usually browse via BT to my PC's PPP and this would allow me to keep the cell radio off.

Unfortunately, the patch doesn't recognize the new Treo 680 2.11 firmware version. Any chance you can update it?

"Works well on 700P" has my interest, but I didn't really understand the description. Would someone mind dumbing it down.

This patch removes the "phone is off, do you want to turn it on? yes/no" prompt you get every time you open Blazer when the phone is off. If you connect to the internet using bluetooth to your PC you can leave the phone off and save some battery and data charges. Without the patch you are forced to turn on the phone, even when you don't need it on for internet access.

Mini, thank you for updating for Treo 680 with 1.12 ROW.
Unfortunately, it is not quite working. I now get this message when the radio is off:

"Voice Call In Progress
You will need to disconnect the voice call before attempting to send or receive data"

Please try with Mini's patch for Blazer.

Originally, this patch is that corresponds to the Japanese KANJI character for Blazer.

However, this patch can be used even in the English-language environments excluding the problem that a small font becomes a standard Palm's small font.

Hi,

I have tried the mini patch for the HsExtensions, but when I try to sync the treo, I got an error saying that the patched file is invalid and has been deleted ( everything before was going fine before, copy, patching, ...).
Do you know how to pass this installation problem. ( even in copying the file by filez from SD to ram , the file is not installed ).
May be the problem is coming from the language French used on my treo.

Hi.

I was able to copy both files Blazer_patched.prc and HsExtensions2.0_patched.prc to the Treo 680 using CleanStart and Resco Explorer without any problem.

After that, I still receive the "Voice Call In Progress. You will need to disconnect the voice call before attempting to send or receive data" message.

I´m using Mini´s patch for HsExtensions V.2.0 and Mini´s patch for Blazer V.1.70 on a Treo AT&T with firmware 2.11. Phone Info reports:

Software: Treo680-2.11-ATT

lop01= set cleanstart to all off including panels and ROM, reset and then use Resco Explorer to copy the patched files

BUT instead I receive another error message:

Service Connection Progress.
Error: The phone is off. Turn the phone on and try again (0x7001)


With that, the bluetooth connection is lost (I get disconnected)...
If I select NO, I can´t browse (trying to browse popups the same message)
If I select YES, the phone turns on and I connect to my carrier´s network.

What do you think that is due to?
Do I need an updated version of Mini´s patch for HsExtensions2.0.prc as well?
