| HB++ version 2.0 is out! A nice surprise for all the fans of HB++, the latest version, 2.0 is out, with loads of improvements, including 5-way nav handling, and a better ui to mention a few, plus we can now use try and catch statements!
Pretty sweet

| Hi! I'm just new here, and very much interested in programming for handheld devices. Is it okay if you give me the full version with serial keys or alike. Tnx. I promise to give you a copy of the software I could develop if possible. |

which can be removed by a simple 2-byte change at a known offset in the resulting prc

He wont/shouldnt tell you. He knows how to make your handheld hard reset, whitescreen unrecoverably, and send out enough wireless communication to crash your network. He could also make your handheld run 5x as fast, keep unwanted programs off, and make it so you never had to register another demo program. Of course, he cant really release most of these things (with the exception of UDMH), as most would be harmful, and the rest unethical, but of course he is free to mess around with them himself and taunt you with his knowledge.

| Speaking of dmitry, he seems to be the one that drove me away from HB++ after my first two apps with it. But you know I'm going to have to revisit with my old apps. Anyhow, this is considered a very good programming language, no?
What I'm trying to ask is why did ya tell me not to use it? |

Tyler loves it. If you have a program with some modules that need speed, but a UI that doesnt, ARMlets work fine. There is nothing wrong with HB++

| hey jpa and brad!
exactly what brad said... HB++ is the ideal development environment... you have access to EVERYTHING the PalmOS (and Palm, Inc) SDK offers, and it's all packaged easily and intuitively. don't forget that dmitry codes almost completely in ARM or Thumb assembly and in that sense is unlike 99.999% of the programmers worldwide...
HB++ is the best option hands-down, and if down the line you need to do some crazy graphics or music handling, do what Olivier did with his Bhajis Loops and write a handling ARMlet. It will integrate perfectly with HB++
cheers, tyler

| To be honest, I really like HB++. The only thing that kills me is the size of the apps made. It's impossible to make an app under 30k. The apps you make are massive in size. HB++ is actually 7x large in file sizes than any other language I've used. |
