#1 | | Guest | organizing Documents To Go files on memory stick Greetings,
I have a Sony SJ30 that I'm very happy with, especially the ability to view/edit Word and Excel files using Documents to Go. Yesterday I received a memory stick (128mg) and plan to put a LOT of word documents on it.
My question is, is there a way to organize the documents on the MS into folders or something similar? On the 'internal' I can choose (and create new) categories by which to organize the files, but it doesn't seem like I can do that for files on the MS.
Any suggestions or pointers to resources to read would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Brian | |

| I have an SL-10 and found very good instructions in the Documents to Go help documentation under "Expansion Support". The instructions I have are for Palm OS4. When you follow the directions it creates a directory on the MS card called "DXTG", and this is where the program places your documents when you move them from your PC.

Not that I know of. All files put on the MS go into one folder and that is all. |

| OMG - just hit submit in error! Whew! Time to get off the damn computer! I understand what you mean, Brian, by not being able to categorize DTG since the "category" has to be the name of the expansion card. You can whittle the list down a bit when viewing by switching between Document Type "Sheet to Go" and "word to Go", but that's about it. |
