| Well, it would certainly be nice to have a screen noise solution built into a digitizer drift correction app. But just recently, Cyberdude turned me toward Warpspeed because of the screen whine solution built into it. I registered my copy last night after using it for just 15 minutes! Thanks for all your contributions, Dmitry. |

| The "noise" problem is already fixed if you use MyKbd, IIRC.

i didn't check out MyKbd but here's what the maker of MyKbd has to say about this (Post 29, by the way) Quote: | Originally Posted by pruss The noise filtering is what I need. so i assume MyKbd doesn't fix this |

| Well since I'm having such a horrible day (week, month, year, decade, lifetime) I feel like annoying you all with a functional DEMO: LINK
this is only for portrait 320x480 devices (tested on tx, LD and TH55, [T3 SHOULD WORK]).
[WARNING: running this in landscape mode or on a 320x320 device is a sure way to test your backup manager]
run it (the dia, vg, status bar, and the rest of that sh it should dissapear off the screen)
it will show crosshairs to tap
u need to place stylus firmy at the crosshair, and then while holding stylus there press and release a hardware button. If all went well the crosshair will move to the next point. go in with this until all points are done (currently 35 points). then the screen will be blank. draw on it with stylus and see how close it is to where it should be. If you did the previous steps well, it should be very close. If your digitizer is really fuc ked up, it might not be as exact as you'd want. This is expected and more detailed calibration (the app will allow this, this demo does not) will fix this. Press a hardware key to exit out of this test mode. THIS IS JUST A DEMO OF THE IDEA. ONCE THE APP QUITS, IT HAS NO EFFECT ON THE SYSTEM.
tell me how it goes and how close it gets

| NOTE. the crosshair is an "X", you may not be able to see all parts of it. (when it is in the top left corner you will only see a "\"-liek thing. tap at the very top left of the screen (where the center of the crosshair would be, if you could see it. that is as best as i can explain it
here is a better explanation:
and please forgive the typos in the image. that should be "...why SOMETIMES instead OF crosshairs..." and "...just TAP where the crosshairs..."

| I just tested this on my T3, and drawing on the screen at the end of the test seemed absolutely accurate, although the line was extremely faint. Once I exited the demo, my drift was back to it's usual state; however, I believe that is the expected result with the demo.
Looking forward to the actual release!

That means that PowerDiGi will solve your drift problems Quote: | Originally Posted by edward

Those are pixels I was in no mood to draw lines! Quote: | Originally Posted by edward

that is so.

Great warning!
The digitizer on my T3 is working fine and I hope it stays that way. My T2 is currently not in use (because of digitizer issues), so I would be more than happy to do any testing when you get a 320x320 version out. Just for drill, I installed your Warpspeed on the T2 and it really took care of the absolutely horrible screen whine problem on it. So maybe, if you are still having a really bad day, week, month, year, lifetime, you could annoy us further by including that function on PowerDigi! |

| Just tested it too, made a whole lot of difference on most part of the screen (used to be way of in the lower-middle part of the screen, where most of the writing and tapping is done with the slider closed on the T#, now it's totally precise), BUT on the left side (around the place where the 'DONE' button is on most apps) it still is totallt weird, the pixels go to the left, and to the right a few millimeters... |

| I just tested it and it would fix my problem as well. Unfortunately, I don't have time to wait. I have less than 15 days to return it to palm to get them to fix it for free. I would have prefered your solution Dmitry, because when you return a unit, you never know what you'll have to deal with when you get it back. I'd rather deal with a known entity than an unknown one. |
