| Legacy 2 Codename The Quest Hi gang, here's some new screenshoots for the upcoming release of Legacy 2; code name The Quest. If this is any indication of the game play for the new engine. Get ready to lose quite a bit of sleep Potential release of the game is close; maybe next month for the PC and the PPC. Palm shortly there after. http://www.redshift.hu/thequestpreshots.htm |

| Will there be an option for free rotation, in addition to the grid-based movement of the first Legacy? |

| PDArcade's suffered a serious seizure. It will be interesting to see if it recovers.

I seem to recall a message from Stewe in "another place" that said they will have smooth rotation, but movement will still be on a grid. |

| Hey :) Just a minute...
So yep, only 1 person. Y'know the advantages and the disadvantages as well.
The movement is continuous, just the player will stop at the center of a grid (not necessarely - just if you stop pushing the on-screen button or the right hard key). The rotation is smooth, too. Fps animations (bow, throwing, melee, spell). And I have to mention the hundreds(!) of npcs, all with more topics to talk about (yeah should check the street girl in the 1st city as a male then as a female player ).
Platform versions' order: ppc, palm, uiq/s80 (probably uiq then s80). I'm not sure if we make the Smartphone and S60 versions 'cause of the extraordinary warez activity.
And beware: the game will be so large. I do mean. Maybe 15 MB or something.

Hope you don't mind me suggesting this, but I'm hoping you will have good separation between the core game engine and the quest itself because with Legacy you can't uninstall the first adventure once you've completed it. And if it is as huge as you say, we may want to do that in case Danny produces another mega expansion pack!
Also, a personal favourite of mine would be a sort of "skin" feature where you could change things like the font or the colour of the interface. As I've said before, this would allow the engine to be used for situations other than the traditional proto-mediaeval world. |

| Wow, it looks like many of the main PDArcaders are merging as well.
Hey, where's Omega?
