| French ROMfiles for a TJ-25 Hi,
I need to switch a unilingual English TJ25 to French.
I know I should be able to do so by copying the French ROM files into RAM on my TJ25.
Anyone happen to have these files?
If you have a mulitlingual TJ-25 (or TJ35) and have some spare time, just contact me, I'll show you how to extract the ROM files.
Just PM me .
TIA!

Yeah, I thought of doing that, but my device is strictly UNILINGUAL English. If you can get me all the files ending in _frFR, I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks

| I just started another thread in the TH55 forum.
I suceedeed in doing it (switch to French) with a TH55. I still would like to get my hands on French TJ25 overlay files, or learn of a way to use those of the TH55.

| Do you think the French overlay files from a TJ27 would do?

They would probably do.
One way to know is to check the version of the built-in Datebook app
If it is 4.54S, it should be fine.
thanks

Can someone confirm? | Well, on this (Sony-owned) Web site, they mention TJ25/E1 and TJ25/E2 models. E1 and E2 reference the 2 European versions (one for Western languages, one for Eastern languages, I think ...).

No, both the E1 and E2 have the same languages in their ROM (German, English, French, Spanish, Italian). I bought my E1 in October 2003 and after a few months Sony introduced the E2. It was said to have a certain flaw fixed, but I don't remember what it was. |

Maybe languages of the apps on the CD delivered with it?
