| Read This Before Posting!!! (Maybe a mod can sticky this.....
or we can just keep bumping it up)
I got a question!!!!!
Where can I get answers??
If you have a question... check out the past few days threads. Many times the exact question has been asked by someone already as close as this morning, but due to the popularity of the site a thread might be pushed to the next page so scroll down... and click the next page. Maybe if you feel daring enough you can even try a third or even a fourth page!!!
If you are unhappy with what you have seen try searching.. 1SRC HAS AN EXCELLENT SEARCH ENGINE!!.... that's a link that you can click that will take you to the search page, fill in the keywords that you are wondering about...( example.. MUST HAVE APPS, or Wifi)... and check out that nifty drop box with all the forums in it, that will help you narrow down your search to your particular model or interest!!
If you aren't happy with the results maybe you can TRY GOOGLE!!(that's a link too that will take you to guess where?? ) It might not be as specific after typing in a few keywords such as CLIE NX APPS., but it's worth a shot. Searching the forums will save you time more times than not anyway because you will get instant results as opposed to waiting for a response in the forums.
I know when I first got my Clie I found this site through Google!!! Then I read and did searches, (I was familiar with message boards from a previous website though) and got answers I needed at a time when most posters (not the wall kind ) were sucking their thumbs and wetting their sheets!!
Also, I know it's a drag but read your manual not just the quick start guide!!!
Aw man... what a drag !!
Yep it is!!! But it is well worth it... how else would you know where to look for your serial number?? ; Seriously though, there is so much good information found in the manual it is not even funny! Trust me you will learn a lot quicker and a lot more!! So read it, do it on the bowl but just don't drop it in, or wherever you want!!
BUT I WANT TO POST AND SEE MY NAME UP THERE!!!
Don't worry you will still have plenty questions as you install apps and other stuff!!!
Good Luck..and Enjoy Your Clie!!!
Chris

Reason: Updated search engine link to ISRC search. Editted later to remove non-breaking space html that was in post.

| There is a forum for posting feedback, suggestions, and questions about the site. Anyone who has a concern with how the site is run or would like to see some changes should post them in the Comments/Suggest forum under the Site Specific category. |

| Maybe we need a sticky thread thats an FAQ. A place where the most common questions asked can be answered, with maybe links to larger threads that would provide more information. That would help the new people out a lot. |

#6 | | Guest | very good advice Thanks Chris , I must apologise for doing exactly the wrong thing there! Not searching made me post ANOTHER question on screen modes, so sorry for that everyone.
Fantastic site though, isn't it?

| Look at the top where it says "Register" (Profound, huh?).
It should be close to under the NR Series picture that lead to that forum.

Simon K. | You should not have to apologize for your question. It is too bad that some people on this site are not a little more tolerant and kind. If they were face to face with people, they would think twice about how they state things!

Regards from a "Jerk" isn't that what some might call us? | Don't feel like you need to apologize for asking a "simple" question? The only time I object to an unregistered guest is if they are bashing someone else, and don't have the courage to show their screen name. If people don't want to answer repeat questions, they should just ignore them. Have a good day!

| Chris, I hope you did not mean this the way I took it when I read it. In spite of your smiley faces, I got the impression that your comments were rather sarcastic. Sometimes the way we write things in forums, and emails is different that how we would speak to someone face to face. I don't think it is intentional. You could say the same thing to someone face to face, and they might not be offended because they can hear your voice tone, and see your body language. Sometimes it is a matter of people not having enough time to spend on the site, and they don't have a lot time for searching. I have to share my computer time, and don't have a lot of time for searching. The only thing I don't like about this site is that there are a lot of sarcastic and snide remarks made. I wish people would think before they type about how they would feel, if their comments were meant for them.

| Too many people think they shouldn't have to search for answers, but they don't think about the people that spend time to answer questions. To many times, the same questions are asked day after day. I have to admit, I haven't spent that much time at ClieSource recently because it seems to be many of the posts are just the same questions that have been answered countless times.

Sometimes it is a matter of people not knowing where to look.

| I am new to this site, so please excuse my ignorance. I have registered but I am not able to start a new thread on a particular forum. I do not see anywhere on this site where this is explained.
I love the site but I am still working on purchasing my first CLIE and need some advice. I was not sure which forum to start with but it seems like it would help me in my quest to be able to start a new thread.
Any help would be appreciated.
