My issues might be more related to my phones reception. If I hit refresh a time or two, I can usually can get the full forecast.

That's what usually fixes this for me, but my reception is fine - same as it's always been from the same old places... Maybe Yahoo is timing out quicker?

KMeteo and Weather work fine. I know Weather uses Deluxewares own servers, but KMeteo uses Yahoo IIRC.

Shimon

I too have been having this same problem on my Sprint Treo 755p, but with NO current temp showing instead of the 999 temp. I have it set for degrees F, if that makes any difference.

I have noticed this problem only since installing v1.97(001). For me, it only seems to occur on the regularly SCHEDULED updates, NEVER on a manual update. I have watched it and it disconnects immediately after d/l the forecast, but ahead of the current conditions and the maps.

Again, only on v1.97(001). Never on any version prior.

Hi,

I think this is not because of 1.97, but rather because of changes Yahoo made. Some of the changes forced me to make 1.97 (changes in format).

Maybe they also changed timeouts in communications.

I still am not able to recreate this here.

I ask anyone who encounters this, when you do - please check immediately the same city at weather.yahoo.com on a desktop browser, and note any differences in info display, etc.

Then send me (contact(at)shsh(dot)com) or post here the info, including the city.

Thanks.

Red face

Hi Shimon,

thanks again very much for your great product. I use it on my Tungsten T3, and of course I do synchronizing only at hotsync. Though I installed the latest version (1.97_001), the maps I got are from December 2010. The hotsync log tells me they are transferred - but I guess it's (again) an issue from yahoo's format.

So far, I haven't found any custom maps from germany I could use without entering year, month and day - so those aren't helping.
Edit: Now I tried the yahoo maps - 4cast tells me, though the hotsync protocol seemed perfect, "Not connected".

I would appreciate any hints and wish you a happy easter, or happy Pesach.

Yours, Volker

Hi,

Thanks for your kind words.

I am not aware of Germany maps. You can browse the web on your desktop PC, and find maps there, then copy the map link.

Hi Shimon,

that's what I tried: I used the correct map links (e.g. http://de.wetter.yahoo.com/images/e...B_440_dmy_y.jpg) for custom maps, and - though the hotsync tells me they were loaded - 4cast keeps telling me "not connected".
Too bad, for I don't like maps from December in April!

Thanks for your fast answer!

Volker

Hi Shimon,

I even tried to load another JPG picture, but though the hotsync protocol listed six pictures to be transferred, none of these were on my Tungsten. With FiLeZ, I checked and saw that there are only the old pictures from December. I even tried reinstalling the hotsync conduit, but it didn't help.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Volker
