I love my mom Programmer by Grace Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,318	Doesn't 4cast need wireless capabilities? I thought that you had to have a wireless internet connection to use it, but what is this about hotsync conduit?

That is the most newly added feature. You can now use it to hotsync weather data and/or use WiFi.

This is not 4cast's developers fault, but an option to choose where you get the forecast from would be nice. Just to give you an example. Today Yahoo says 'Cloudy with occasional light rain during the afternoon.' It's actually been pouring with rain for the last 2 hours Last edited by drwho : 04-11-2006 at 08:25 AM.

Problem is there is no standard for the way the data is presented, so I would have to re-program for every source.

What sources would you recommend ?

That's a good question. Just looked at 5 other sources, and they all say the same thing: light rain, which is wrong. Maybe they all get the data from the same source. I'll see if I can find a more accurate forecast. Maybe it doesn't exist
