| I have been trying to reestablish a WL-100/NX60 connection that was working fine earier in the year.
I didn't use the card for several months and have a new install of XP on my desktop unit. Now, I want to go back to the card and it won't connect.
I have browsed the board and tried several routes. but I never get "wireless" in the Prefs/Network popup. Only things like UNIX,Verio, WindowsRAS,Earthlink.
Larry, anybody??? |

| Wi-Fi scanner from UX50 I know the UX50 has the ability to scan for Wi-Fi. Is there any way to copy the files from the UX50 that allow the scanning onto the NX series?

| Hello All,
After launching ICS to share my dialup internet connection, my WiFi's IP became 192.168.0.1
I connected successfully on my laptop using adhoc connection by specifying the IP: 192.168.0.1 on my UX50, however when I launched Smbmate and tried to access the shared folder of my laptop I get a message from my laptop that IP address conflicts in the network.
I believe this is because when connecting to the shared folder I specify the IP of the laptop to be: 192.168.0.1 (same with the WiFi's IP)
Is there a way to have a separate IP for my adhoc WiFi and another IP for my laptop?
Please help.
Thanks a lot! |

I'd like to know about that too. I work as a network consultant and it would be really handy to be able to scan for wireless at client sites.

#201 | | Guest | That's all good (I'm writing this on my nx73v) but I can't seem to hotsync over my network. I'm using static IPs on my network (just to be sure), but I just can't seem to find my PC . Any suggestions?

#202 | | Guest | NX-80V with WL100 at University. I got my NX-80V with a WL100 to work at my university.
All I had to do was:
-Have the computer center register my MAC address to my user account.
-Enter the exact SSID
-enter the 10 digit WEP
-Infrastructure
-power saver off
-DNS and IP auto
Hope this helps someone. The university is just using a simple MAC filter to restrict access.
Later,
Matte. | |

| How can I find actual SSID when connecting with "any"? I am new user with NX73V and WL100 (refurb). I can connect at home and several other sites just fine, often without the Powersave option.
I have found a couple of sites by using the "any" SSID and would like to find their real SSID's I realize from reading this and other threads that Palm OS 5.0 won't really let us do what we want. Surely ther must be some way we can get the SSID, through a command in the log area perhaps? Or by some web request to the IP address of the router or ???
Thank you in advance |
