| What would you prefer as PDA phone? A phone PDA the size of the Treo 650 (handy size but small screen) or one the size of the TX or Sony Clie (quite big for a mobile phone, but great as a PDA with a large screen)?

| I'm not really into smartphones. I don't like the idea of 1 device failure and all my stuff's gone, but if Palm made something like the UX50, but as a phone (and maybe more screen less black plastic around it) I might be interested. |

| The treo 650 is great except for the screen, make it a slider like the T|3, with the keyboard sliding down to reveal a 320 x 480 screen and I will go back

| smoothjordan, that's a great idea! Palm should listen to you!!! I'd buy that. Even if it did lock me into another 2 year contract. |

| I'd like to see a phone-centric Palm, something like a cross between a Kyocera 7135 and a Samsung A610 with swivel-clamshell screen. I like the specs of the Treo but I'd never want a candybar phone, Palm-powered or otherwise. Palm has no experience with any kind of clamshell devices, though, and their entire product line is now tablet-style with no sliders or anything with moving parts, so it's unlikely they'll start offering clamshells soon. Once they realize that the Treo design isn't going to appeal to everyone, they'll hopefully start offering a more diverse smartphone line, i.e. one including clamshells.

| A Global (as from the show Earth: Final Conflict - not a great series but still the best multifunction smartphine ever shown in SF). In short - OLED screen, size changes from tablet to full keyboard, at least 3G for the phone side, many gigs of memory, good camera.
Failing that - Treo 700P (or is that more wishful thinking?) with 3G and memory the size of the average iPod.

| Nah. I want my phone & handheld separate, but I want them to be able to communicate with each other (via blutooth, wifi, whatever). My preference is for two excellent devices that do everything I need (& communcate well with each other) rather than accept the compromises that a single device seems to require.
Note: I accept that for some people a single device does do all they need. Just not for me. Maybe one day...
Actually, I'd prefer a VOIP handheld to an all-in-one PDA phone.

One question about combined devices like the Treo 650. Whay happens if you are working on an application and you receive a call? Does the application exit?

| A Treo that is slimmer, 320x480, and wifi. Perhaps a slider with keyboard.
