Is anyone using a Motorola V545 phone (or a similar model) with the TH55?
Motorola are unable to say if the V545 will talk to the TH55 (or anything else for that matter) via bluetooth for SMS, browsing etc...
Has anyone got it working with a V545?
I have a v545, It works fine with my nokia hdw-3 bluetooth hands free and talks ok with my computer for file transfers and net connectivity. I'll post here how I get on with the TH-55 when it arrives (I've only just bought it).
Doesn't look good so far - I just received my clie. Whilst I can pair with the phone in the Bluetooth menu of prefs I can't set up a connection with it in the "Phone" section. I know BT is working since I can pair with a nokia 6310i I also own. The phone menu is a little confusing to navigate but I think I've tried all the options. Looks like I'll have to switch back to the 6310i - no big deal for me since I get a camera and big colour screen on the pda. The phone just need to work for voice.
A little progress with the V545: I'm now able to send sms messages, but not receive or list the messages on the phone. I used the coma app to add a phone and for some reason it was detected this way whilst scanning for a bluetooth phone in the connection editor of "prefs" never detected it. There is no listing for a motorola phone in the driver, so I selected t610. Going to the phone menu and of prefs and selecting "test" connects to the phone via bluetooth but comes up with a message say it is misconfigured. I can't dial a number from the addressbook via bluetooth yet.
Haven't managed to get gprs working yet, but with the correct init string I think it may be possible.
