The above is a title i have been given as a project for college; the problem is im seriously confused as to where to
start with this.
I have been told i need to create a server which will send image files (then
real time video if i proove im capable) and text files with digital
watermarks to a PDA connected via a wifi network. The PDA will have an application
made by myself which can verify that the the content is correct (i.e. via the
the watermark) and also allow the user to choose the files he/she would like
to download from the server.
The server will be constantly streaming regardless (similar to a Tv
broadcast) of what the PDA wants/doesnt want.
My question is firstly how would i even start to develop this? what tools
would i need to buy (software) and which language would i need to use (VB?
C++?why?)
Secondly what would i need to do in terms of the server?how do i find out how to create a server which will stream via a wifi network i have made?
I hope im not coming across as lazy, ive been hittin plenty of dead ends
with my research and am looking to kick off this project as soon as i can
find some direction!
