Thumbs up Oh..Boy...! I dropped my SJ33!

Yeaterday accidently I happened to drop my fancy SJ33 directly on the hard cement floor some 3 feet further down....

Gosh.. when I looked down the flip is elswhere and the divice lying it's face down. I didn't even wanna bend and pick up the two pieces... I was sure to see a crack across the lovely display I used to enjoy so much..

I waited for a while...just to gain my consciousness and picked up the device..

Viola.....

Everything was intact I coudn't even find scratch where it hit the floor... I was really surprised... I guess the device has landed directly on it's flip and all the pressure was gone to it dismantling the flip from the hinge...

I remember how hard I tried to remove it manually some other time. I eventually gave it up though.

Now the flip is in place my SJ33 is back in it's sweet self.... thanks SONY making your stuff a lot hardier and still make them look sexy and feminine...

Chan

Yeah the Clié is safe

I'm glad the Clié is okay. I just got mine last week, but I cannot imagine what I would do if I dropped it and it was damaged.

Thumbs up Cool..!

Thanx elf for letting other people know that they should be careful
when dealing with SJ33.

No question I am in love with it..

The thing is SJ33 so curvy, so feminine, so shiny, so slippery that chances are very high (as in life too) they will slip through your hands without you ever knowing it... ha ha...

Still wondering what might have saved mine (when I dropped it) for life...!

Chan

BTW Elf, you don't need to spend your $$$ on the blue Sony MS. They're expensive. Buy the lexar ones... which is $10 cheaper and in addition, you get the $30 rebate.

When I had my SJ33, I had the habit of washing my hands with soap constantly because I don't want fingerprint smudges on my beautiful handheld. I agree with you, the SJ33 is a GREASE MAGNET.

Hi Jeffry,

Where did you get the Lexar ones (and the rebate)? In Canada?

There is a company in Montreal that sells Sony MS cheaper because taxes are waived.

Also, a colleague said he may have seen MS at PriceClub but he doesn't remember-- he'll check again the next time he goes (usually once a month).

I assume you live in Toronto... just go to Future Shop and buy the purple (Lexar) Memory Sticks for $109, and mail in this rebate:
