Power48 - H9G - Unable to allocate enough memory

Using Power48 on the TX I noticed the following error:

When trying to emulate the HP49G an alert says "unable to allocate enough memory for the ROM image".

How can this be?
Can it be solved?

thank you

L.

I had a similar error message with Snappermail, but I had over 50MB of space left. I had installed the E2InternalDrive app. Once I uninstalled this, Snappermail worked, as did Tomtom, which was having it's own problems. Hope this helps.

The problem is that TX does not have enough heap for 49G rom image to load. UDMH from Domitrygr.tk will solve this problem by giving you "virtual heap" but you need to use version 5 beta for TX. Also, all rom image must resides in external card.

http://dmitrygr.tk/
That is the correct URL

I want to buy their program after the trial it really makes my Power48 work and the entire idea of having a Palm instead of a real HP49G calculator (I do have one, but it's too big, a Palm is nicer, plus you can have notes and .doc files, great item for a studen) make sense

Not very much advertised, but on

http://www.metaviewsoft.de/Power48.zip

you can find a version of Power48 modified for the TX. Works without UDMH.

I don't know what else is different. Anyone?

Didn't worked for me
I installed Power48 and I just bought Dmitry's Ultra Memory Hack, that was the solution for me

Hi, my fix to Power48 just altered the way Power48 decides when to use storage memory for the allocations. It was doing the decision depending on the whole amount of free dynamic memory, but the TX has 4 MB free, but the largest block is just 2 MB. That's why, my fix uses the largest block for the decision. Also I've fixed the not correct working key handling on the TX. I've send the changes to the author, but got no response.

Regards
Henk

You've tried http://www.metaviewsoft.de ?
Do you get the error on all 3 emulated calculators or just on HP49G? Do you see any free memory output?

I installed the patched version and had the same error too with the 49G.
I had to do a soft reset of my TX before I could start the 49G calc.

Hm, then I don't know. It works for me. When you press the menu-btn in the sattus bar, do you get a 2 value display for the Dynamic Heap Space?
