Hello all...

Could someone help me get my sony nx70v working on vista?

* Desktop for clie software 4.01 installed without any problems...
* Didn't see an option on the cd for drivers install.
Been so long ago, I forgot what drivers it needs...

(Problem 1)
When I click the "hotsync" button on my handheld cradle, vista reports new hardware found.. and it never finds a driver. and thus the hotsync don't work. I do have the clie install cd... but vista still does not find a driver from there either. which driver on the cd is it needing?
Or do I need a whole new hotsync software/////

(Problem 2 - I surely want this to work.)
I have the cf hacked driver installled on my sony clie, and in xp it would pop up the folder like the cf was an extra drive.
Vista reports this as "Sony Mass Storage" device.. and of course can not locate any drivers for that either.
Where might the driver be for that? I forgot what driver that needed.

Thanks for any help on that. Surely someone has a nx70v working on vista.

If I see one more "driver not found " on this crap vista, I'm gonna format this brand new pc and put the good ol XP on it. They couldn't just make xp better, nawww lets just chunk that and make a whole new incompatible system...

Hummm No replies still?...
I guess Nobody in the world has a NX70V working on vista?
not even a "Your SOL on getting that to work on vista"...?
That seems to be about my luck.. no replies at all...

Guess I'll have to just figure it out my darn self then...eh?

ahh.. thanks for a reply...

Yeah I seen the palm website has a new desktop for palm for vista.. although i haven't tried it yet, cause its like 60mb, and im on dial up, so thatta have to wait a bit. Thatta be a good 5-7 hour download..lol I can resume though..
But most likey, itta do the same thing.. load up to the desktop for palm, and then whin wanting a driver for the sony clie when I click the hotsync button. and thus be useless...

I'd rather have the USB Mass Storage. I will search sometime later on my xp hard drive thats connected and see if it will find a driver there.
But that's for XP.. not vista junk.

Most likey I'll probably end up having to put the clie on one of my old xp pc's.
Hardly even use the clie now anyway.... although I did like it for pictures. which I need the sony mass storage device to work to even get the pictures off of the cf card. otherwise thatta be useless as well...

Get a new pc, and STILL I gotta use an even older one...LOL
My original xp motherboard went bad... I managed to get it back working until I got my new pc...
yeah.. I had to replace the power supply, Install a video card from my other pc, AND plug in a new monitor.
So the power supply went out, the onBoard video went out, AND the monitor went out. ALL At the same time..WTC? I've never seen that many stuff go out at the same time..The monitor would only turn on the green light, and give a black screen.
Luckily I had a pile of monitors..and sure nuff all of "them" still came on. Of course they wouln't untill I stuck in the video card.

Is there any compatibility Option in Vista For .exe file as this option present in Xp.

Yes there are compatibility options just as in xp. several.
Of course thats for only applications.. and not for drivers.
