ir803 - where do you get your screen protectors for your NX-73V.

Also has anybody found an online store which sells replacement styli for the NX73V. I have ordered from 2 different companies only to find they send me the incorrect stylus. The NX-73V needs to have the telescopic type of stylus.

Thanks

Moving on, finally

I can't remember how many years I've had the NX80, at least 6-8. I've used it every day for a range of things and, except for the camera, it still works perfectly. However given the new devices and features out there that are, among other things, much smaller in the pocket I'm moving on.

I didn't want a smart phone and the $30 data plan that wireless companies force you to pay. I purchased a 32GB iPod Touch 3G. It is very neat and I've been able to replace most of the features of the Sony PDA.

Here is a list:

NX80 iPod Touch
Dictionary Yes
Bible Yes
Free Cell Free Cell (same company not as good and app)
Daily Reader Yes
Photo Viewer Yes but not as good
BigClock Yes but with no speaker it can't do the alarm
World Clock Yes
Clie RMC No
Clie Memo Yes
Calc Yes
Calendar Yes (google)
Address Yes (google)
To Do list Yes and a good one
Memo pad Yes
Clie Mail Yes and a much better one (gmail)
Movie Recorder No
Clie Camera No
Movie Play Yes (but I have to recovert 100's of movies now)
Flash Player No (Apple won't go there)
Audio Player Yes and a good one
Voice Recorder Yes but microphone is on earphone cord only
ActiveECG No (this is an EKG adapter for my heart monitor)
Jumpman NO!!! Its a shame
YAPS (password keeper) Yes and a good one

One thing I really miss is using a stylus for keyboard entry. I make way too many mistakes using the on-screen keyboard. I really miss a physical keyboard. It should be possible to have a bluetooth keyboard for the Touch but there don't seem to be any available.

I will still have to keep the NX80 for my heart monitor. That attachment and software isn't available for any other platform. I'm able to take my own EKG and email them to my doctor. I have to keep a computer with XP as I haven't been able to get the Clie to sync with my 64-bit Windows 7 desktop.

So, after many years of near perfect use, I'm putting the NX80 on the shelf. The iPod Touch is a great device with wonderful WiFi capability but there are a few ways it still falls short of the 10 year old Sony products.

As is usually the case with electronics things are faster, better, cheaper. The NX80 cost me $600 and the Touch less than $300.

I just got my NX73V from eBay, and love it. Sure the iPod Touch can do some things better than the Clie, but I still can't live without a Palm OS device in my pocket.

Hi! Ginbot86,
Sorry to bother you. I have a TH55, and I need a later version of World Alarm Clock. The former version cannot run on my TH55. My e-mail :

Hi, guys. I have a NX-80V but the battery is dying, do you guys know any website I can find the battery and other accessories? I try to find sony products rather than from the 3rd parties. If all sony's are gone, I will have no choice and turn to the 3rd parties...
Thanks!

As far as I know Sony won't produce replacements for their Clies and eBay generally has the best prices if you look around.

I found this place, sells some of basic things for the NX series, including battery's among other basic things (9v battery charger, stylus etc, etc).

eBay will most likely be your cheapest bet
