T5 LCD issues (Please read this if you have a dead T5)

I happen to have a T5 which is currently nonfunctional, because the LCD ribbon cable sheared off from the connector on the motherboard side (prior to my acquiring it).

On laptops, the LCD cable is removable, so you can change it out without replacing the display. Unfortunately, the T5's LCD cable appears to be hardwired onto the LCD panel. So unless I discover a way to remove it, I'm looking for a replacement display.

If there's anyone out there with a T5 that's junked, but has an undamaged LCD, PM me and let's work out a deal.

As a side note, does anyone happen to know a good address for internal photos of the T3 and/or the LifeDrive? I'm trying to figure out of their LCDs are identical, and I can't remember the layout of the LD, nor where I put the internal photos I took myself.

interesting topic

If the screen from the LifeDrive culd be replaced with a Sony T3 screen, then I would be very very happy. I guess you can always get a T3 screen from ebay, or anywhere on the net.

Please fill me in on whatever you may find. I hate the new screens on Palms, although the next generation is a bit better. I would love to be able to use a T3 screen on the new models.

BTW, can you tell me where I can get the right screwdrivers to open Palms? I have looked everywhere on the net, but just can't find them. Thanks in advance.
