Hee hee, a post that only I will probably care about.

CS2 supports 3.5 gigs of RAM on current 64-bit systems, which is better, but still blah. Anyways if you have Tiger and CS2, it hands over all of its caching to OS X, and will use all of the RAM it needs, so if you have 16 Gigs, and it needs it, it will use it. Yipppeeee.

Just another reason to upgrade my RAM and move to CS2. So hopefully AfterEffects will take the same route with its next upgrade.

Thanks for this bit of info... my needs are simple and I think Elements or even Seashore will be enough.

Elements is a good app, never heard of Seashore. I just downloaded it to look at though. Any app that has layer support is a good app in my book.

I'm still using PS7, because all of my friends mentioned CS was slower and bloated. I'm hoping CS2 is bit more lean. The benchmarks I saws showed it wasn't really faster than CS.
