| Hi,
Go to the hotsync screen, go to the dropdown menu, and select "Primary PC Setup.
You should see the IP address there.

| I think blitz9092 is asking for IP address of CLIE, not PC. In HotSync setup, it just shows settings of PC side.
For getting CLIE's network setting, you need to go to 'Prefs' -> 'Network' -> 'Wireless LAN' -> 'Details...' -> 'Advances'. Then you can check your CLIE's wifi settings. |

| that is not the easiest way or the clearest explanation. Sorry Jackho. Follow Jackho's instructions until you get to the network pref with wireless Lan selected. Hit the menu button and choose View log under the options menu. You should see your Clie's IP address listed as "Local IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"
There is a much easier way to do it if you have the Clie netmon silkscreen installed. Simply switch to the netmon silk screen and it will have your IP address listed right on it.
You can find a link to it in this post

| I do not know about the Sonys, but every Palm device I have had the following would work:
While connected to the network: - Launch the Prefs application.
- Launch the Network preference panel.
- Perform a menu 'Options', 'View Log'
- The information you need may already be on the screen, if not, graffiti "info" followed by an enter.
However, are you sure that it is the IP address that you need? Typically the IP address was assigned to a device by the network (typically the router). Typically it is the MAC address that is needed to router filtering. Typically the MAC address is given on a sticker on the device. |
