| But we can't compare consoles to handhelds - Or can we? Check this article out, great read... http://ds.ign.com/articles/678/678205p1.html
[Btw, Gothi, I don't disagree, I thought my PSP was an awesome peice of hardware, I just think the DS is more fun]

| yes, it is unfortunate that gamestop and ebgames do not accept trades for non-us games. i buy my non-us games overseas, and have sold a few on ebay here in arizona. f1 for example, is a good racing game if you like f1. at fry's electronics (at least in both arizona stores), they do sell japanese games (with a sticker that the manual is not in english). best buy/circuit city does not sell non-us games.
the ds is a pretty nice machine, but i find the option to watch movies (mp4 and umd) a very nice touch on travel. mp3 is not too much of a big deal for me. |

That's like saying the Xbox is the best console based on US popularity... and we all know that isn't true.

| I find that impressive, considering that in Japan, "Sony" is generaly king of the hill.
Microsoft bought their barely second place share at a 4-billion loss.
This thread visually states the following point; PSP games are currently all show and no play. Nothing new, nothing great, just the same-same-same-freaking games we've all played a dozen times. No new twists, nothing innovative, nothing to write home about.
The PSP is a good portable movie player and maybe some day it will have some good games to match. It's an amazing portable, but who cares if the games aren't fun.

| Yeah, but there is no American handheld, so I fail to see your point... Because there are only two choices, and both are Japanese... American sales were beating the PSP even the month of GTA's launch, which is thus far, the best title. [Best is based on sales]
Edit: Besides, it was meant to showcase how well the DS is doing vs. Console and other handhelds. [We can count the Gizmondo, right? ]

| Personally I like SOCOOM and Zero for the PSP. Now if they could come up with a SHanghai/Mahjongg game for PSP I would be in 7th heaven!!!!! I also like Shanghai for the Nintendo DS unfortunately it is totally in Japanese unlike Zero which has the basic comamands in English.
I don't understand why games that are out for PS2, etc., can't be produced for the PSP. I understand that it isn't that difficult for game makers to convert these games from PS2 format into PSP format
It is also unfortunate that there is not a better variety of games and movies available but I guess unless you are younger, your taste in games doesn't matter!!!! |
