| Biggest SD Card Supported by Zire72? Just wondering, what's the largest SD card the Z72 can handle? I have the opportunity to buy a 1 gig card at a good price, but I don't know whether or not it'd be able to access a card that large.

| 1 gig Hello Mindfield,
Paul from palmOne here. From everything I've seen and heard, a 1 gig SD card should work fine in your Zire 72.
Best,
Paul

| The maximum size card that will work is either 2GB or 4GB, depending on the memory card addressing used in the hardware.

| I think a 1GB should work fine with the Z72, and well I don't think they've got any SD cards larger than 1GB at the moment

| Soon we'll be running into FAT16 vs FAT32. I think the 2 GB and up cards are all formatted as FAT32. Can a Palm handle that type of file structure? |

| The Palm's VFS could just be patched to support FAT32, but I think Microsoft might possiblt have a patent on FAT32 as opposed to the more or less open FAT16.

| Will the Sandisk 2GB Ultra II SD Card (SDSDH-2048-901), work in the Zire72? Will the Zire72 be able to see the whole capacity? |

| Ok. So I found this article in PalmOne's Knowledge Database:
Solution ID: 34080 http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/...se=ob j(34080)
Now my question for PalmOne (Mr. Novotny?). Has there been an update so far on the 2GB Ultra II compatibility with the Zire72? Thanks. |

| Right now, I use a 256 PNY card with great results. It holds whatever I want. I am thinking of getting a 2 gig. Glad I tapped into the thread.

Sorry IsLNdbOi,
As yet, I'm not aware of any updated information on the 2GB Ultra II. It is possible that SanDisk may have some further information on this. Probably couldn't hurt to run your question by them, as well.
Best
Paul
