plastic stylus only

Yahoo's Z22 forum repeats the message that you should only use a plastic stylus. You will ruin your Zire 22 if you use one and insert a metal stylus into the stylus slot.

Comment #11 at this link repeats the message:
http://www.1src.com/forums/showthre...=plastic+stylus

In addition The original Zire 21 and the Zire 31 uses plastic stylus. I compared the two styli and they are exactly the same style. Though I haven't read any reports of anyone ruining those models, I would not exactly be smart to try to ruin any Palm Zire model by using a metal stylus and inserting it into the stylus slot.

Unfortunately the plastic stylus has no hidden reset tool so Zire users have to have access to the suggested reset device known as a paper clip.

I have gotten a Z22 and it was without a stylus. You would think it would be compatible to other Z but no. The Z21/Z31 stylus is too long and it sticks out a bit beyond my Z22.

Get a Z22 folks. If you forget to recharge it, it will not forget what data you have placed in it. In Addition a Z22 will show images JPeg (necessary to get a new Palm desktop CD for TX, E2, Zire 22 to visualize the photos because the free stripped down version does not offer JPeg viewing)

Anyone tried using a Ninetendo portable gaming stylus? Would a capacitive stylus work on a Z22?
