| Just bought a bluetooth Sony Ericsson MMV100 media player.
Check it here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp...ps1_1&pid=10145
It's the same of an Anyway product someone showed in this thread.
Basically it's a bluetooth pictures viewer and mp3 streaming with a SCART adapter (and RCA).
It works on Obex and FTP protocols.
Well, sorry to say it doesn't work with our UX50.
I think the UX50 doesn't support Obex (object exchange) bluetooth profile.
The bluetooth device is discoverable and you can bind it, but when you try to send it something, it doesn't work (I tried a lot of programs, such as Palmprint, SendIt, Btserial....)
I tried as well to build a new connection but our UX50 can only find phone, modems, pc and network, and it seems the MMV 100 appears as a printer!
I almost gave up.
It's a shame, but it works perfectly with Pocket PC. I own a HP Jornada 720 (mounting HPC2000, not exactly the latest system) with a Socket bluetooth compact flash. It found the device, paired, sent through obex... perfect working, no problems at all. Sometimes I have to admit it's much more easier in the PPC world!!
Idea are welcomed, of course. |

Here's a thought; it supposedly works with the SE T610 phone. Well, I have BT's to and from this phone to my UX, so ostensibly this should work.
BIG CAVEAT - I found if you install a 3rd party BT utility; the UX50 would no longer transfer to/from the T610.
Remove any 3rd party BlueToothing utility, and try again.

Thanks exNewt.
I have a T68i and it works. Also a K700i works, I tried it (except for the fact that remote screen shows on the MMV100 exactly what you have on your mobile screen: can you imagine the quality of a powerpoint slide with text?).
If you send the picture, no problems.
I think that something such as Softick Blue Files ( http://www.softick.com/bluefiles/) able to send files and not only receive them, would solve the problem.
Actually if I can see the device, pair it and not sending my image it seems the profile doesn't exist, or - better - it isn't properly managed.

| Margi PTG MS driver Hey,
If someone by a chance still has the latest driver of Margi PTG for Clies (ver 2.60?), it would be very nice to share it, since margi.com is gone now |

Thanks for the offer, but internet archive or waybackmachine.org is actually very helpful in finding ancient web pages. Anyway, PTG is incompatible with UX, I can confirm this
PS: Anyone interested in a brand new Margi PTG MS (opened once to check with UX)? |
