Im frustrated that I cant use any memory stick larger than 128MB on my N710C. great little machine, but its kinda obsolete. Id love to listen to BSG podcasts and mp3's, but I need a larger memory stick than 128.
Are there any firmware upgrades to enable this? Any companies out there doing something about it, cause it looks like Sony wont. Anyone got an idea?
The N710C is very hard to hotsync with xp especially if it is the OS 3.52 ones. Dan T said that the software with the CD is good for uploading MP3 into a TH-55. The rare headphones with the volume control is just rare.
It would be better to get a Sony clie device that can use the newer MS, the old Memory sticks are expensive compared to the newer Pro Duo memorystick. Devices like the N710c were the first adopter for MP3 and usually the first ones get abandoned.

128MB Memorysticks are the biggest ones that will accept Sony's Pre PalmOS 5 devices. Clies running PalmOS 5 are abble tu use bigger Memorysticks but some devices need updated PalmOS 5 drivers available a Sony's web site.
Currently there is no way to upgrade devices to PalmOS 5 if they are running PalmOS 4 or 3 as they are based on a different hardware platform.
