| A Good TG50 Replacement? I have had a Clie TG50 for well over a year now, and it has now bit the dust. The keyboard has a short in it and Sony wants $150 to fix it. So, since I don't want to pay that much to get it fixed, I am going to purchace a new PDA. What would be a good replacement for it?
I really want another Clie because everything I have is Sony and I can easily exchange data between them all with the memory sticks. |

| Get a TH55 - you won't regret it - no keyboard though. If you really need a kb go for a UX50 if you can find one.
It was announced a long time ago that Sony would stop it's Clie line. Try a search on here and you'll get all the details as well as a lot of shouting Sony no longer sees the Clie line and palm OS as a viable market unfortunately.

| I've gone from the TG50 (which I still have and use for GPS/Mapopolis) to a UX50. If you need anything that requires a keyboard (ie email, notes, contacts, todos) then UX50 is a great alternative / upgrade.
I bought my used on ebay. No issues. Very happy. Just another option.

| If you like the TG50 you'll like the Treo 650. Same 320x320 Screen and keyboard attached at bottom. Amazing lil device and love the keyboard, can use it one handed and the 5 way navigator is great. |

| imho i would like to keep my phone and my pda seprate. my tg50 holds all my life stuff (anniversarys, birthdays, notes from when to my self as my children aer growing up, passwords, cd keys, etc...) while my phone holds numbers and other stuff like that. yeah it would suck to lose my phone but if i lost my pda then that would uber suck to the Nth degree |

| I'm thinking about what would replace my TG50 should it ever quit. I'm torn between 3 options, the palm zire 72, Tungston C, or just start using my phone for pda stuff, and use an mp3 player for music. Games aren't as fun on the phones though so I'm not sure I want to go that way. Granted the Tungston C wouldn't be good for mp3 either, but with the wi-fi would make a good 'net palm.

| The RPG, role playing game, Legacy plays well on my TG-50 and I am slowly getting more bluetooth capabilities added to it also. Since the Remote comander program is also nice, I can use that also in my line of work (television installer).
I got an old NR-70v and that has a keyboard also on board. It uses the same desktop charger so it is a good choice to use simotaneously with the TG-50. I should have bought another TG-50 when I had the chance, I don't think any device would make a good substitute for TG-50.

| I now have 4.7M of 11M space in my internal memory on my TG-50. Previously when trying to play legacy I couldn't play it because not enough internal memory.
I moved mobipocket (1.4M to a folder in my memorycard) and now I can play legacy again. The great thing about TG-50 is you can use a pro duo card up to 2GB. You just have to remember to juggle around different programs into a memory card to leave enough space to use memory intensive programs like legacy.
