Migration to Firefox from Opera

I think I've finally decided that I prefer Firefox over Opera, after playing with it for quite awhile now. Any tips on plugins to get for it?

My Firefox looks like this, sorry for the image size

It has:
adblockPlus
hide menubar
AVG Search Scanner (Reports you of potentially Infected Sites when using google) :P
hide tab bar
nightly tester tools (to install unsuported plugins)
RealPlayer Browser record plugin
FishEye Tabs (shrinking tabs that expand as you run mouse over them)
Aging tabs (change color as you neglect them)
autohideStatusbar (hides the status bar when page finishes loading)

that's about it, I've only been using Firefox for a week, and I couldn't live without the Spell Check feature.

Cool

So what exactly made you switch? My experience with Opera was far superior to FireFox.

My usage experience with firefox (and iceweasel under Debian GNU/Linux) was that after adding one or two of the extensions, which seem to be prior versions of ones listed above, it would grind to a halt, take almost a minute to launch a UI and opera would load pages faster.

Not to mention all the pseudo-opensource/free software BS that mozilla has pulled with the branding and logos.

Honestly, Opera without any plugins does just as good as Fx with many system loading and slowing extensions. Not to mention the coolness that is operalink.

I expect this thread to somewhat go downhill after, what some evangilist will no likely take as a bashing of this thread, but that's my experience with Fx vs. Opera.

never tried opera, but one thing is for sure is that both firefox and opera blow IE out of the water.

I've never have witnessed any lag times with Firefox since I got it...

The only slowdown I noticed with FF is when I loaded AVG. If you remove the AVG plugin, Opera and FF are about the same. Opera does have some pretty cool widgets though.
