| What Now for Me (Life After Clie!) Well 2012 arks the move from my old Clie NX to a new PDA... but what?
I suppose that the Sony Table P is the only choice... or is it?
Any suggestions? |

| Depends on how willing you are from moving away from PalmOS.
I'm using a Palm Pre and Pre 3 now, as well as a TouchPad, but these webOS devices are in NO way an upgrade to my old Treo 680. It was a definite platform migration. My old stuff and workflows were disrupted during the move, and well-loved apps have been left behind.
I just wish the Treo 680 had wi-fi, and I would've been content with that.

| Sony tablet The Sony tablets remote commander version is nicer than the Sony Clie remote commander. It also can learn from other remotes. Plays video avi and mp4 not sure aboutnatively plays a lot of audio formats besides mp3.
Supposedly Sony will allow updating of their tablets so choosing memory size may be critical in the future.

| Palm, Clie, Palm and now Android I only just got my android, giving up my palm. I kind of thought that it would be like going back to my Clie, with the phone, which I always thought was the only thing missing from that.
It is a hard transition. The palm OS was so stable. I had my apps working. Only thing was that I could not tether to my laptop. That, and the palm is dead made me finally make the switch.
I was looking forward to it. But, at the end of the day, so far, I think that I wish the old Palm people would take charge. Keep it simple. |
