NX60 confuse battery polarity

Hi! I`ve got a big trouble. I purchased an NX60 with almost died battery. I wanted to change the element, so I cut the li-pol element and tried to insert other, from cell phone, but with the same capacity.
But, while inserting, I ocasionally confused the polarity (+ and -), and now my clie switches on only with external power (cradle), but doesn`t recognize any battery, when I tap the battery icon on DIA nothing happens...
How can I fix it? Or theres no way, only to buy another Clie?

Dead or fully discharged batteries are hard to tell the polarity. In addition some batteries have their own little circuit. The cell phone battery you may be trying may not be connected (or soldered) right. Maybe reconnect the old battery and see if the same results happen.

The Nx-60 seems to use the same size battery as a TH-55 and you will read a lot about replacing your battery there if you use the search function on that topic.

No, the problem is much more serious. cell phone battery was fully charged, the circuit from it was removed. Afer confusing polarity I took another original charged and working battery from my friend, but my clie doesn't see it too. Looks like I've burnt something in my clie

I have burnt out the circuit of my Palm m505. Sometimes a capacitor and other easily fixable parts can be seen and corrected.

Maybe someone can fix it? Dan I believe does do a good job with TH-55.

Oh... I`m totally frustrated, today I spent 4 hours trying to fix my device... I removed 3 small components in the motherboard near battery contacts, but the situation is the same - clie switches on only when I plug in a charger...
Maybe TH users had the same problems? And who is Dan?
Please help me, or, I think, my clie will die permanently, I can`t seat and wait (

I`m from Russia, Moscow. Wow, it seems like I`ve found a damaged nx60 for parts here, in Moscow, now I`m waiting for the response of seller, maybe I could fix it finally...

Philpalm, Sony NX73 is a great device, I had it 3 years ago Do you want to sell it, or what? I don`t know if I really need it - I have so many gadgets, more than 130: palms, pockets, cell phones, PDAs, that I don`t know what to do with them, but I can`t stop - I`m really addicted to those gadgets...

Maybe you know where I can get a touchscreen and a housing for Sony clie NZ90? My Sony NZ90 is unique - it has original non-dead camera, that continues taking nice shots, but the touchscreen died and the housing almost lost it`s paint... Maybe ebay will help me
