There are plenty of apps for using the built-in camera on a phone as a webcam, but I would like to connect an external USB camera to the phone's port to provide live video input instead.

The application: to attach a flexible-shaft USB mini-webcam that I was just given to my old HTC winmo 6 phone, so my spy-toy-infatuated child can peek around corners with it.
