I normally post in the TH forum, but my wife has a TG-50. I have an issue and wonder if anyone has an answer...

My wife got a new Acer Aspire running Win XP MCE and I am having trouble. I managed to get the Clie software and the Palm Desktop installed alright, but eveytime I try to sync with the TG in the cradle, Windows shows a "Found New Hardware" wizard and wants the install CD for the "new" Plam device...

I've never run into this before. Both the notebook and the TG are set for Local Hotsync over USB/Cradle.

On another issue, I got her a second TG because the first one developed a jagged, vertical, yellow streak through the screen; obviously an issue with the pixel addressing. Now the replacement (which was perfect when I got it off eBay) has developed the same issue. The second unit has never been used, but has just sat around.

Any ideas?
