What a frustrating experience. I've had the Lifedrive over 2 months now. Generally like it as it is my 4th generation palm.
To date, I've had to perform 3 complete hard resets because of nagging issues, but I thought that was all behind me - until today.
For whatever reason, VersalMail stopped working - literally. If I clicked on the icon via applications or favorites, it would reset the device. Nothing I tried changed that from occuring.
So, I decided to uninstall the application, figuring I could simply re-install it from the installation CD, right?
Wrong.
It's not included. I spent an hour screaming at tech support who told me the ONLY way to recover Versa Mail was to either buy a new copy online, or to do a hard reset.
Absolutely incredible. A $500 handheld, and they want me to either lose all my data settings (Wi-Fi particularly) or BUY a new copy of VersaMail.
What a ... grrr!
Does anyone out there have an alternate solution. I don't want to do a hard reset. I can't. I'll lose to much information that isn't backed up.
There has to be a way to get VM 3.1 back on my LifeDrive.
Any help would be appreciated.
