#1 | | Guest | Eb40 185usd Sony Parts JUST GOT MY EB40, WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN RUN TIME. JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW, I CONTACTED SONY JAPAN, THEY TOLD ME THAT I COULD ONLY GET IT THROUGH SONY PARTS USA, THEN I EMAIL THEM AND THE GAVE ME THIS PART NUMBER AND PRICE AND SAID THEY HAD IT.
EXTENSION BATTERY, 175638721 -- $185.95 ea. THIS IS THE SONY PART NUMBER FOR AND EB40. YOU CAN CONTACT THEM AT THE FOLLOWING WEB SITE: http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/web/index.jsp
I KNOW IT IS STILL EXPENSIVE BUT NOT QUITE AS HIGH AS EBAY, YOU DON'T GET THE LITTLE GREY POCKET FOR IT EITHER. GOOD LUCK!!

| thanks juicer! i've been looking for an eb40 since i got my ux50 last friday. it isn't the cheapest price, but it sure beats trying to outbid people on ebay and paying more. their stock is on backorder until mid-february, but it's worth the wait! great work! |

#3 | | Guest | hey JUICER, is this the same way you got your eb40? i want to get one, but the description on the site says nothing about being the eb40 or for use with the ux50. just wanted to verify before i went out and bought it. thanks.

#5 | | Guest | The Part Number Supplied Was The Sony Part Number, Pega-eb40 Is A Model Number. If You Email Sony Parts And Ask Them For The An Eb40 They Will Send You That Number Back. If You Want To Verify Just Contact Them.
As Far As If Sony Usa, Canada, Etc Has One, I Think Sony Will Source One World Wide. I Think This Is The Means Of Getting One That Sony Japan Was Meaning In There Press Release In Dec.. They Are Not Going To Retail Them But They Will Produce More For Sale Through Sony Parts (hard To Tell From The Translated Press Release). Goodluck!!

| Didn't I post this like last year? I feel like it's amnesia and deja vu at the same time!
Also you don't get the plastic feet for $185

| No, I'm referring to the 4 rubber 'bumps' on the bottom of the EB40. One can do without.

| Juicer,
What was the total increase in run time with the extended battery? Especially interested re. wifi use, movie viewing & mp3 playing. |

#14 | | Guest | I CAN GET 2 FULL MOVIES (1HOUR 45MIN each) AND STILL HAVE 20% LEFT IN THE EB40 WHICH MEANS THE UX50 INTERNAL BATTERY IS STILL FULL. I WAS USING KINOMA TO PLAY THE MOVIES, NOT SURE IF THIS PROG USES THIS "DSP" THAT SONY HAS DISIGNED INTO THE UX. AND FYI MY EB40 CAME WITH THE "FEET". THE BATTERY IS COMPLETE EXCEPT THE GREY POTCH AND PACKAGE AND MANUAL.

You mean that the battery comes without any rubber feet on it? Maybe you got a refurb that had the feet missing - anybody else had this problem? |
