I read on a message board that when using Docs-To-Go on the UX-50, you have a 1 sec lag when shifting to a cell outside of screen area. Since I will be doing a lot of work on spreadsheets, this could get rather annoying. Does everyone experience this problem? Is it a processor thing? Can you create office documents with Docs-To-Go?
In the second note, I also read that memory stick duo with the adapter cannot be used with this PDA. Is it true? I thought the adapter's puporse was exactly for this.
I might be reading the wrong message boards, but these just scared me a tad.
The duo will work with the adapter in the UX50. That's the very reason they have an adapter.

I've found that Docs to Go is still really slow to recalculate large spreadsheets... My UX50 is no faster than my old m505 in this respect, so I'd guess it's DtG that's to blame for this. I get round this by disabling the recalculate automatically function, which makes the spreadsheet fly, and only recalculate when absolutely necessary.
Maybe try QuickOffice. It's almost as good as DTG. You can scroll much faster through the spreadsheets with QuickOffice.
The only drawback is that you can't save your spreadsheet as a native Excel-document even though you can open them without conversion.
